Casa Illustrata studio

Da Giugno Chiara ed io abbiamo inaugurato Casa illustrata,
uno studio e negozio di illustrazione adiacente al centro di Monza.
L’apertura dello spazio ha richiesto mesi di ricerca,
trattative ed allestimento ma alla fine eccoci qua soddisfatti della scelta.

Nella Gallery ho condiviso una parte di foto che mostrano la scritta-logo (concepito a quattro mani), l’immagine del logo creato da Chiara
(e dipinto da me sulla vetrina del negozio); altre che riportano l’ interno dello spazio ed una con Chiara fatta il giorno dell’inaugurazione
(grazie Marina)!

Per me questo studio è una sorta di ‘cameretta dei giochi’,
dove poter fare ricerca, sperimentare con varie tecniche
grafico -pittoriche* e sviluppare nuove immagini.
*Al momento sto disegnando molto con matite colorate e pastelli ad olio.

Quindi Casa Illustrata è un luogo per fare arte, aperto al pubblico dove organizzare in futuro mostre nonché uno spazio culturale e d’artigianato sito in quartiere (quanto sono necessari questi luoghi)!

Infine Casa Illustrata ha intenzione di aprire in futuro anche ai più piccoli,
organizzando laboratori creativi dove poter condividere l’esperienza ludico-artistica maturata in questi anni di lavoro
nelle molte scuole con cui ho collaborato, portando sempre con me l’ispirazione data dagli insegnamenti
del buon Bruno Munari oltre quelli dati dal fare illustrazione.

Questo è il nostro contributo per render Monza una città più Bella!

Since the last June Chiara and myself opened Casa Illustrata,
an illustration studio and shop close to Monza center.
The opening required months of looking for the right spot,
dealing with the agencies and setting up the space;
finally we made it and are glad for the choice

Here I share with you a bunch of images showing the logo typeface (created with Chiara), the logo design
(made by Chiara and painted by me on the studio front window),
a few pictures showing the space inside and one image of us
taken during the opening (thanks to Marina)!

For me this place is a sort of ‘children palyroom’ where we are able to start new projects, experimenting with new mediums*
and of course creating new images.
*At the moment I am working mostly with coloured and oil pastels.

Casa Illustrata is a place for art, open to the public, meant to host future exhibitions; but also a cultural & craftmaker space found
in a local neighbourhood (how needed are these spaces in our cities)!

Finally Casa Illustrata is also considering to open to the children,
by organising some art workshops which will be based on my own experience gathered of all these years while working in many schools, without forgetting the beautiful teachings suggested by the great Bruno Munari.

This is our contribute to make Monza a better place to be!
